Kokoko Camp, Asilia Africa
Kokoko Camp, Asilia Africa. The Kokoko Camp is the most private camp in Ruaha National Park, and maybe even in all of East Africa. It provides a simple but definitely unique place to stay. Kokoko’s movable roof is a unique place to sleep that you will never forget, especially when there are only two tents’ worth of other safari-goers nearby.
What We Know About Kokoko Camp Ruaha
Kokoko is the only place in the world where you can stay on the edge of a forest and look out over the Mwagusi River. It’s perfect for people who love adventure but don’t like fancy hotels. It’s back to basics, but with safari-level comforts like cozy rooms, hot showers, and tasty food.
Each tent has a big, comfy bed, a bathroom with attached toilets and a bucket shower outside, and cooking is done only over an open fire. You can rent out the whole camp to yourself and up to six other people, and one of Asilia’s guides will welcome you. This would be an amazing safari experience.
Families should know that Kokoko only takes kids over 12 years old because the camp is so adventurous. For adults, you will feel right at home here, even though you will be sleeping under the stars in the middle of nowhere. All of your needs will be met.
If you’re with a small group and don’t care about luxury but still want a real safari experience with great food and an atmosphere that can only be found in a small space, this is the best choice in Ruaha and probably all of East Africa.
