In general, the best time to go on adventure and to the beach in Tanzania is from July to October, when it is dry and sunny. It’s easier to see animals in wildlife parks when the bushes aren’t as thick.

This is because the animals have to gather around the few watering holes that are left. At the beach, this is the only time of the year when it’s almost certain not to rain. In November, there are short rains that sometimes last into December, January, and March. In April and May, there are long rains. But that doesn’t mean that December, January, and February aren’t still great months to visit Tanzania…

In general, there are better and worse times to visit Arusha and northern Tanzania. This is especially true if you want to get away from your wet home country (Britain). Arusha is usually hottest between the short rains in November and the long rains in April, but not by much. If you plan to stay in the city for a long time, it might be humid because clouds are gathering.

Most of the time, it rains the most from November to the beginning of March. After that, it rains more often in April and less often after that until the end of May. From June to the end of October, the weather is clear and nice. The real length of these showers, on the other hand, fits more with the idea of the rainy seasons.

Between November, which is the start of the long wet season, and April or May, there will probably be more showers than heavy rain. The only times this might not be true are March and December, which have a lot more rain than most people think they will because they are “in between” the wet seasons…
