Olakira Camp | Serengeti National Park. What We Think. Our Olakira camp is one of the best in the Serengeti. Two times a year, it goes along the same path as Serian. From July to November, they live in the Kogatende area, which is north of the Serengeti. Then, from December to March, they move back to a great place in the Ndutu plains. You can count on great guides, delicious food, and a luxury but still real safari camp at Olakira. Because it is in the north, it is in a great spot where you can see the river crossing from the camp.

The Truth About Olakira Camp Asilia

Olakira is a classic safari camp that moves around the Serengeti. To follow the movement, it moves twice a year, and both places are great. When it’s up in the north, you can see the famous “Great Migration” crossing the Mara River in large groups. You can only see the bridges from this camp while you eat breakfast or lunch. In the south, it’s in the Ndutu fields, close to where the cows are giving birth.

The Olakira is both country and fancy, and it’s a very popular place for honeymoons! There are only 8 huts, so it’s exactly what you’d expect from a safari camp. The service is friendly and one-on-one. There are nice showers and toilets that flush in the tents. You can think of it as a home away from home in the wilds of Tanzania!

Olakira is a great camp in one of the last few truly wild parts of the Serengeti that doesn’t cost too much. As with all Asilia properties, the service and kindness are top-notch, and you’ll feel like you’re part of the family as soon as you walk in the door.

You can’t go wrong with Olakira. It is in the middle of the Serengeti and has beautiful views of animals, delicious food, and a high-class atmosphere.

If you want to see everything Northern Tanzania has to offer, you must spend at least two nights near the Ngorongoro Crater. The Highlands of Asilia and Olakira look great together. The one-of-a-kind rooms that look like bubbles are tucked into the side of the Olmoti Volcano. They have great views and are a great place to start exploring the Crater, hiking in the nearby forests, and visiting Maasai towns.

Getting to the middle of the Serengeti is also a great thing to do if you are visiting Olakira between July and October. The Namiri Plains in Asilia are a great place to go on a second tour. All year long, you can see some of the best predators in Africa when you mix Olakira and Namiri. It would be an amazing safari.

When going on vacation in the Serengeti, one of the most important decisions you have to make is what kind of camp you want to stay in. There are some big differences between your mobile camps and hotels that stay put. The permanent cabins don’t move around all year and have more amenities, like swimming pools and hot tubs.
