Serengeti House is an exclusive-use refuge nestled on the lower slopes of Sasakwa Hill, with the vast Serengeti plains stretching out in front of it. It is also conveniently positioned near a waterhole.

As with all Grumeti properties, a terrific experience is available year-round, but Great Migration Seekers should visit in June and early July for the ultimate Tanzania safari. Combining the Serengeti House, or any of Singita’s properties, with a lodge in the National Park itself is an excellent choice, especially if you are traveling outside of the migratory season in the Grumeti region.

As with all Singita resorts, the cuisine, service, and guiding are exceptional. Because Singita Serengeti House is exclusive, you can customize your day to your exact specifications. Whether you desire a lengthy lie-in one morning or an all-day safari from dawn to twilight the next, your personal guide, cook, and host will make sure all of your requests and needs are met.

Singita has their own concession, therefore activities are not as constrained as they are in the National Park. Game drives (where off-roading is permitted), walking safaris, night driving, and even horseback safaris are available for those with good riding skills.

While the Serengeti can get crowded during the peak season, staying at Singita allows you to avoid the throng and get a first-class, exclusive, and personalized experience that you will never forget.

A typical Northern Tanzania itinerary includes a few days exploring the Ngorongoro Crater before flying to the Serengeti. While the Crater has a large variety of species, its limited size ensures that one day on safari is more than enough. Other activities in the area include visiting local Maasai communities and hiking.

Once in the Serengeti, you eat, breathe, and sleep safari. Nothing is more awe-inspiring than the Great Migration, which involves millions of wildebeest following the rains each year. Combining two lodges, one in the park and one in a private compound, allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds. The migration and a wide range of activities without crowds.
