Kirumuru Ngorongoro Camp: The Facts

Kirurumu Ngorongoro is a new tented camp located near Ngorongoro Crater. It is a sister camp to the current Kirurumu Manyara and Kirurumu Tarangire camps, with a similar comfortable and straightforward layout. It is located directly on the brink of the Crater Rim, in an extraordinarily scenic place with huge landscapes and breathtaking vistas. It is an excellent alternative for the Ngorongoro Crater, much more intimate than major camps like Serena or Sopa, and far less expensive than Crater Lodge. It’s a lovely camp, rustic and a little off the beaten path.

There are several Masai Villages surrounding the camp that offer some amazing cultural attractions. It is an excellent spot to hike, particularly up Olmoti Mountain to a stunning waterfall and the Munge River, which supplies the crater’s game swamp.

With only ten guest tents, the service is great and comfortable. Each tent includes an ensuite bathroom. There is a dining tent and a campfire area with stunning views – the ideal spot to watch the sun set.
