This beach is on the southeast coast of Zanzibar, close to the village of Bwejuu. The big group of Breezes, The Palms, and Baraza are all on the same beautiful beach. The Germans own and run this small property, which feels much more like a house than its more “resort style” neighbors.

There are only five stylish homes. They are big enough for triples, quads, and families, but not so big that they feel like too much for a couple. Anna is great for both honeymoons and families because of this. The cottage-style rooms are set around a beautiful yard with a swimming pool, and the waiters are always floating around to meet all of the guests’ needs. It is their top priority to make sure you are as cozy and at ease as possible. The food is lovely and fresh, especially the seafood BBQ.

The people who work at Anna will quickly set up any events that you want. You can easily go snorkeling, on a spice tour, or to Stone Town. All of these things are close by and can be done for a fair price with reputable local operators. It doesn’t have as many amenities as some of its bigger neighbors, but that fits with Anna’s goal for a more personal and boutique-like style. That being said, the spa is very good. This is a great deal for a honeymoon spot!
