Diamonds La Gemma D’ell Este, Zanzibar. The hotel here is one of the biggest in Zanzibar. Even though all of its room types are very cheap, the atmosphere and party-like feel of the place mean that you should look elsewhere if you want some peace and quiet. To be fair to the planners, the rooms are pretty hidden from the rest of the building, but it’s clear that you’re in one of many big blocks when you get there. We recommend Breezes if you want to stay in a big hotel because they have better rooms for about the same price.

Diamonds La Gemma Dell Est: What You Need to Know

North-West of Zanzibar, Diamonds is about an hour’s drive from Stone Town. From Dar es Salaam, it’s a 20-minute trip to get there.

Another new, huge hotel that has started to pop up in the northern parts of Zanzibar is this one. There are about 150 rooms in the hotel. All of them have air conditioning and are decorated in a native Zanzibari style. It’s on the northwest peninsula of Zanzibar, on what might be the best beach in the world. Being on this side is nice because the tide doesn’t go out as far as it does on the east coast, and you can watch the sun go down instead of rising.

The main area is in the middle of everything. It has three pools that connect to each other and a restaurant/café on stairs over the water. The hotel has a pizzeria, an à la carte restaurant, and the main restaurant, all of which are all about food. There are also many water things to choose from since there is a good dive shop and a beach that goes on for miles. Something to think about after a long journey.
