Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti

Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti

Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti. The Four Seasons is a hotel/resort rather than a small intimate safari lodge, making it perfect for individuals who prefer the comforts and amenities of a large hotel chain over a small personal safari experience. It is not our preferred type, but it is the finest available in the Serengeti.

Four Seasons Safari Lodge, Serengeti: The Facts

Located just north of Seronera in the central Serengeti, the Four Seasons sits high on a raised terrain with a view of the Serengeti and constant game moving through the lodge due to their permanent water hole. This is a large hotel with all of the amenities you would expect from a large international hotel anywhere in the world. All 77 rooms and suites, including the five private Villas, feature butler service and are adorned with chosen African artwork.

The rooms are quite lavish, with balconies overlooking the plains, as well as magnificent suites and private villas that house some of the country’s finest accommodations.

The Horizon rooms are the best regular option, offering stunning views, while the Terrace Suites feature private plunge pools overlooking the Serengeti Plains. Every accommodation has a view of the plains, however due to the hotel’s vastness, you must travel from the restaurant to your room via golf cart or stroll over the raised walkways.

Four Seasons Serengeti: Activities

The hotel’s amenities include three restaurants, a bar and wine cellar, a library, a game room, a conference room, an art gallery, and a gift shop. There is a casual restaurant for light meals and snacks, Kulas Restaurant offers buffets, and Bomas Grill serves African cuisine. The main activity here is game drives in the Serengeti, which cost extra if you use the Four Seasons, or you can ‘bring in’ a private car from Arusha. The lodge is adjacent to the launch place for sunrise hot air balloon expeditions. Guests are also invited to use the lodge’s innovative Discovery Centre, which teaches them about conservation and everything Serengeti.
