Kilimatonge | Ruaha, Tanzania.
Kilimatonge is closed right now.
In the wilds of Ruaha National Park, there is a camp that is completely private. It goes back and forth between two spots on the Mdonya River, which is near Kilimatonge Hill. It’s pretty basic, but this camp, along with Kichaka, is the only one that really feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere and takes you back to the days of early colonial settlers.
The Facts About Kilimatonge Ruaha
Kilimatonge is in Ruaha, which is in the south of Tanzania. Kilimatonge is a wild way to explore the park, which is one of the most remote and beautiful places for a tour in Tanzania.
Everyone in the camp is private; there is only one group of guests at a time. This makes it great for families, groups, and honeymooners who want a private experience. This mobile camp doesn’t have any fixed buildings, and even though it has enough space for 24 people (12 tents), that number doesn’t happen very often. The camp feels like a real, small mobile camp, which fits in well with a wild park like Ruaha.
In a traditional safari style, the guest tents are simple but very cozy and well-equipped. You might be traveling through Africa in the 1800s! When it comes to prices, the camp is a great deal for a big group because the rate per person goes down as the group size increases.
There are walking tours and all-day 4×4 game drives to help you get to know the wilds of Ruaha.
