It wasn’t built in the usual way, but it can work if you’re looking for a place in that area. The Kitela Lodge is set high above a valley with views of the Ngorongoro Crater’s eastern wall, its lush gardens, and coffee farms. It sits on top of a big, open yard that makes the place feel very tropical. The rich soil is great for gardens with a huge range of plants and animals.

The big main room has a modern look and is full of features that will make your stay very pleasant. The place isn’t very cozy, but the food is good and comes from nearby farms, and the service is great.

There are rooms all over the yard, and every one of them has a beautiful view. The rooms are clean and have simple furniture. Each one has its own stove for nights when it’s colder up high. A nice way to begin a tour in Tanzania.
