The beach itself is one of the most beautiful places in Africa to be barefoot in luxury. The common area is open and simple, with a view of the white sand beach. They serve great fresh seafood and just about anything else you can think of.

There are only 10 large thatched beach bandas with bathrooms. They are spread out along a soft hallway made of woven coconut palm leaves and are set back from the beach in their own private clearing in the forest. All bedrooms, verandas, and main living areas are decorated with light cotton nets, soft African prints, and pillows to create a relaxing atmosphere. And once you pay the astronomical prices, you can enjoy all the fresh tropical drinks, diving trips, water sports, and fishing trips that are included!

The camp has traditional wooden dhows that you can use to explore the warm, clear water and coral reefs. It also has a professional scuba diving school. The guests then go back to their island hideaway to eat delicious meals of fresh fruit, veggies, seafood, and meats that have been beautifully prepared and served. From Dar es Salaam, which is served by international planes, you can be on Africa’s best beach in just a few hours… In Dar, you change planes for a trip to Stone Town on Zanzibar. At the other end, someone from &Beyond will meet you, drive you to the crossing, and then pop you on a little boat and you’re there! It is very easy to mix this world-class lodge with other great camps while on a safari in Tanzania.
