Ruaha River Lodge

Ruaha River Lodge

Ruaha River Lodge. The Ruaha River Lodge is the least expensive place to stay in Ruaha National Park, but it’s still a good deal. Right on the banks of the Ruaha River, with rolling hills in the background, it’s a beautiful spot. The only bad thing about the cabin is that it’s pretty big and not made of brick and stone. Besides that, though, it’s in a great spot and is a great deal. We really think that the small extra cost to stay at Mdonya Old River Camp is worth it because the whole experience will be better.

The Straight Dope on The Ruaha River Lodge

The Msembe airport is about a 30-minute game drive from the Ruaha River Lodge. In the southern part of Ruaha National Park, the camp stands tall on the banks of the Ruaha River.

There are two parts to the main area of the house. The main entrance and reception room is set back from the riverbank in a huge building with open sides and a big makuti roof. You can sit back and enjoy the view of the river from the seats, armchairs, and coffee tables here. The main restaurant is also on the side, inside the same building.

The other common area is separate and on the other side of the lodge. It is high up on a rocky kopjie with magnificent views of the bush and the river below. The building is set in and around the rocks, and it has a big bar and several decks where you can enjoy the view. This is also where meals happen.

Many of the rooms are right next to the water, and there is a lot of space between them. The roofs are made of makuti and they are all made of brick and stone. The verandas are a good size. The rooms are very big, and 24 of them can be joined together to make triples. The bathrooms have a very different look and feel, with an African theme. A Tanzania Safari that lots of families love.
