Selous Impala Camp

Selous Impala Camp

Selous Impala Camp. The Impala Selous is right on the Rufiji River, which makes it a great place to see the people who live there. It’s not nearly as pricey as its most luxury rivals, but the service is almost as good. The raised tents are very comfortable, and two of them can be joined together to make a “family” tent. The camp is very nice, great for kids, and has the best of Nyerere National Park.

The Truth About Selous Impala Camp

Impala is in a great spot, right next to the Rufiji River, surrounded by Tamarind trees and Borassa palms. This part of Nyerere National Park (formerly The Selous Game Reserve) is really beautiful, and the boat rides are out of this world. It’s a great place for a family vacation in Tanzania. It is actually between two lakes, Mzizimia and Siwandu, which are great for wildlife, especially when it’s dry.

The tents and main living area are set up high so that guests can always see what’s going on in the river, and there is a lot to see! There are always hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffalo nearby, and that’s just the beginning. The area is lush and green, and the tents are big and set up nicely.

Even though the rooms are just simple tents on stilts, they have everything you could want or need in a real safari lodge, including power, and are decorated in a very nice way.

The cabin is great for families and couples alike, with two family tents next to each other and the rest tucked away for privacy. An ideal place for a family vacation in Tanzania. The swimming pool is also a great place to take a break in the afternoon if you want to relax between your daily tasks.

One of the best things about Impala is the fly-camping, which lets guests spend an exciting night in the bush. The walking is also very well thought of, and the guides are top-notch. A strong favorite of ours!
