Tarangire Treetops Lodge by Elewana

Tarangire Treetops Lodge by Elewana. Tarangire Treetops is operated by Elewana, a reputable safari operator with a portfolio of some of Tanzania’s finest properties. The camp itself is fantastic. Rooms, layout, and views. It’s a great environment for a safari camp, and the product’s quality is evident. However, the one disadvantage is that the camp is located outside the park. This isn’t the most ideal position given that the park has some wonderful properties. Our first choice property is Olivers Camp, followed by Swala, all of which are in the park, then Tarangire Treetops.

Tarangire Treetops Lodge: The Facts

Treetops is located just beyond Tarangire National Park’s north-eastern edge. Tarangire is located in Northern Tanzania and is well-known for its massive Baobab tree population and annual elephant migration. The lodge is a two-hour drive from the Manyara airport, or an hour from the Kuro airstrip in Tarangire. However, this drive is part of your Tanzania safari!

The main lodge is really spectacular! The open-plan living space, which is built around an old Baobab tree, is wide and inviting. The construction is almost entirely made of wood and stands slightly above the ground. There is a central living room built into the flooring and below ground level, with cushions and sofas to rest on. There is a nice bar and dining area that overlooks the pool, which faces the park. You have great views since you were reared and built on a natural incline in the ground.

The rooms are equally excellent. These are quite high, with entrance to a spiral staircase via a trap door. They are exceptionally big, with open-plan bathrooms, giant beds, and panoramic views of the park. Each has a separate balcony equipped with seats and a table.

Tarangire provides night drives, walking Tarangire safaris, fly camping, and daytime wildlife drives.
